Following last year's successful Life Science Day in Boston, the KNIME team and partners held another meeting on July 28, 2011 in San Francisco. The event was kindly hosted by Swissnex in their office building in San Francisco's financial district. This complimentary one-day event was attended by 60 people from both industry and academia. The agenda included sessions explaining and discussing KNIME's enterprise products, KNIME Server, TeamSpace and Cluster Execution. An interesting afternoon was spent listening to and discussing what our partners are developing with KNIME. The KNIME team would like to thank our partners for joining us at the meeting , and Swissnex for supporting this event and sponsoring the after-meeting apéro during which people had the chance to network with each other in a more informal atmosphere. A great time was had by all!

The KNIME Life Science Partners Schrödinger, ChemAxon/Infocom, Perkin Elmer, Tripos, Cresset, Dotmatics, Pervasive, the Chemical Computing Group and Revolution Analytics presented their KNIME extensions used for structure retrieval, property calculation, virtual library enumeration, virtual screening, docking, property prediction, compound selection and many more applications for the Life Sciences.
This was an ideal opportunity to get to know KNIME, talk to some of the KNIME core team members, and see how the Life Science Partners add chemoinformatics capabilities to use KNIME in a scientific environment to join data, tools, and science.
The agenda can be found here.
